20: The Rod Is Fixed
(Aun is working on repairing his frenting rod as Chax sleeps.)
Aun: I’m exhausted, but I’m so close to done! I just need something to bind and seal the split...
(Aun finds a scrap of wing that was left behind from when Chax caught and ate a khirrik.)
Aun: I don’t know where this came from, but I think it will work!
(Chax lies asleep, dreaming, muttering and weeping.)
Chax: No one is food... Cold, empty...
(Chax is startled awake by Aun shouting and laughing!)
Aun: YAI! EHI! EHihihihihi...
(Chax leaps into the air and turns to face Aun. Aun is leaping and laughing while Chax is frazzled and in pain from his injured arm.)
Aun: Yai! it’s fixed! Almost as good as new!
