(Aun focuses and the frenting rod calls out with more of its radiant power. A hirrik flies closer and Chax looks up happily.)
Chax: Here we go!
Aun: Shhh...
(The khirrik makes birdlike noises as it descends in front of Aun. He looks down at it in a state of conflicted emotions; he is fascinated to see the chitinous creature up close, and interested in the strange additions to his powers, and revolted by what Chax is about to do.)
Aun: Okay, Chax... Give me a moment.
(The khirrik looks up at Aun and gives a quiet chirp of interest.)
